Having debuted at 2016, the K-pop girl group BlackPink has become a worldwide phenomenon with their remarkable success and fame. The group’s high social-media-following, multiple videos with record breaking views on YouTube, numerous awards and repeated appearances on music charts in just the past few years are proof for the South Korean band’s triumph in the music industry.
That is why it comes as a surprise that the four member group – consisting of Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé and Lisa – is just going to release their first ever album – titled The Album – on October 2, 2020 (12:00pm HKT). It is definitely an exciting news for Blinks* all over the world.
On another news about BlackPink, a new documentary called BlackPink: Light Up The Sky is coming to Netflix on October 14, thus making them the first ever K-pop group to have a documentary about them on the platform.
