Netflix released Emily in Paris last Sunday and the one thing that we all can agree on is: the fashion was on point throughout the series. As much as I would love to replicate every ensemble of Emily Cooper, most of the pieces are way beyond my affordability so I tried to do the same within a budget.
I chose the above outfit of Emily. Before I dive deep into replicating the look, I would like to explain a little about why I chose this particular look. Emily has a strong social media presence and we see her make a lot of posts so she must check her Instagram a lot too. Besides, she works in a fashion marketing firm in Paris. With these two points, it is safe to assume that Emily keeps up with the latest trends. As for this look, she is seen mixing prints which is currently a trend.
Let us take a look at each piece separately. She is wearing an Alice & Olivia Willa Photo Print Blouse for 350 dollars, a Re/Done Henley Crop Tank for 95 dollars, a Ronny Kobo Rida Snakeprint Mini Skirt for 79 dollars, an Aldo Handful faux-leather tote for $65 and a Christian Louboutin Gorgona boots for around 800 dollars.
Looking at some of the main attributes of the blouse. It is light blue and its main detail is the Eiffel Tower photo print. I searched different online shopping sites and found something similar on Rue21. Although it is denim, it does have the photo print feature and the shade matches a bit.
Next, this Re/Done Henley Crop Tank. It is a white sleeveless crop top with button details. This is a very basic and an essential piece in everyone’s wardrobe. I typed Cami top and then I found this Basic Henley Cami on Forever 21. It has the similar button work on the top.
I found the light green snake print skirt on Amazon.
We are done with the clothes so we can move on to the accessories. This bag by Aldo, it is cream in colour and it has a black band on the bottom and a black strap. I found something similar on ThredUp. Although the size is comparatively bigger, it does have the similar black colour details like on the one Emily is wearing. Let’s not forget the black and white striped cloth attached to the bag. I looked up for a black striped scarves and found one in Amazon. We can tie it to the ring on the bag to mimic the Aldo bag.
Now finally the shoes, I searched for printed ankle boots and there was something very similar to the Christian Louboutin Fall/Winter 2019 boots Emily was wearing. It has the multicolour graphic print and the pencil heel but it is kind of expensive. I found another pair on ASOS that was cheaper. It has the multicolour print detail except the heel is different.
